Kyle WamsleyKyle Wamsley of the Colavita/Sutter Home Men’s Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light won the 2008 Cox Charities Classic in Providence, RI on Saturday. Racing with Kyle were Colavita/Sutter Home standouts Alejandro and Anibal Borrajo, Tyler Wren, Andy Guptill, Luis Amaran, Gustavo Artacho, and Anthony Colby. As Kyle told reporter Kirsten Robbins, "We got away with around 17 laps to go” as his teammates controlled the field behind him. Kyle won the break sprint following what he described as “a perfect big ring hill.” Alejandro Borrajo followed in fifth.
The Colavita/Sutter Home Men’s and Women’s Teams travel to Massachusetts for the Fitchburg Longsjo Classic, which begins on July 3rd. Tina Pic, Iona Wynter Parks, Andrea Dvorak, Kristin McGrath, and Nichole Wangsgard will represent the women’s team; Alejandro Borrajo, Gustavo Artacho, Davide Frattini, Kyle Wamsley, Anthony Colby, Andy Guptill, Tyler Wren, and Luis Amaran will race for the men’s team.
