The Colavita/Sutter Home Cycling Teams presented by Cooking Light put two cyclists on the podiums in the AT&T Austin Criterium, the fourth race in the USA Criterium Series.

Alejandro Borrajo

In the men’s race, Colavita/Sutter Home fielded a four-man squad but demonstrated speed and force that far exceeded their numbers.  The speed and prowess of criterium racing demonstrated by the Borrajo brothers, Alejandro and Anibal, Luca Damiani, and Kyle Wamsley made Colavita/Sutter Home a force to be reckoned with.  Anibal, Luca, and Kyle fought hard to bring Alejandro to the final turn first to take the win.  Anibal and Kyle followed in quick succession, crossing the line in 5th and 7th places, respectively.

In the women's race, the Colavita/Sutter Home Women’s Team also demonstrated their strength in criterium racing.  Shontell Gauthier, Nichole Wangsgard, and Samantha Schneider kept the field intact before the last lap of the women's 60-minutes event to put US National Criterium Champion Tina Pic in proper position for the last corner.  Tina flew elbow to elbow with Kelly Benjamin (Cheerwine) to take 2nd place in the one hundred meter sprint to the line.
