is Best Young Rider at Minnesota’s Nature Valley Grand Prix
Rosters Announced for AT&T Austin Downtown CriteriumLinden, NJ (June 17, 2008) – Kristin McGrath of the Colavita/Sutter Home Women’s Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light was named BOOST Best Young Rider at the six-stage Nature Valley Grand Prix in Minnesota.
Now in her first season racing in Colavita/Sutter Home colors, McGrath is a Colorado native who lettered in swimming and soccer at the University of Tennessee. McGrath took up cycling after a knee injury prevented her from joining soccer’s pro ranks. McGrath’s achievement at the Nature Valley Grand Prix capped off five strong days of racing for the Colavita/Sutter Home Women’s and Men’s Cycling Teams. McGrath’s teammate Tina Pic won the Cannon Falls Road Race and took second in the Minneapolis Downtown Classic Criterium. The Colavita/Sutter Home Men’s Cycling Team finished the event with two riders in the top 10 for the general classification: climber Anthony Colby in 6th, reflecting his podium-worthy second place finish in the Cannon Falls Road Race, and Cuban sprinter Luis Amaran in 9th.
The Colavita/Sutter Home Cycling Teams presented by Cooking Light head to Texas where they will race the AT&T Austin Downtown Criterium on June 21st.
